Dalriada 5k & 10k

The online entry is now closed so any further entries can only be made on the night.
Race Brief
The race registration/sign-on and Start/Finish are both on Altmore Street (the wide street leading to the forest gates) but car parking will not be available on this street.  There will be adequate parking around the marina and also at the beach front carpark, both of which are no more than 2 or 3 mins walk from Altmore Street.
As I have said above, the race sign on will be on Altmore Street and will be open from 17:00 and close at 18:15 with the race starting at 18:30.  There will be a separate queue for those not having pre-registered.
The cost for registration on the Friday night will be £10 for both the 5 and 10k distances, with under 16's still free.
Last year there was a bit of a last minute rush with people showing up near the close of the sign-on leading to pretty long queues and a bit of a delay on the start, so if you can, try to get here as early as possible.
At the sign on you will receive a race number with timing chip attached.
If you are bringing along a competitor taking part in the Under 16 race and you haven't already downloaded the parental consent form, you will be required to fill one of these out as part of the sign on process.
The 10k race will be 2 laps of the route with a water stop as you pass the start/finish to begin the second lap.  The first section of the course is on forest trails and is a little rough in places but normal road running trainers will still be fine.
The run route can be viewed via the Garmin Connect link below.
There are public toilets at the beach front carpark and also toilets which will be available in Glenarm Baptist Church, which is near the race sign-on.  The toilets in the church are very limited in their capacity so if you can use the ones at the beachfront to help avoid any bottle necks forming at the toilets.
There are no showering facilities I'm afraid.
As part of the Dalriada Festival week, from 8pm in the Old Eglinton Yard down near the marina there is a free gig, starting with Hymms & Haybales and then back due to popular demand Jonny Cashfrom 9:15pm.  This was a great event last year with many of the competitors sticking around after the race to watch, so if you don't have to rush away you will be more than welcome to join us.
Hopefully that's everything covered, but if you do have any other questions please feel free to contact us.
Other than that, we look forward to welcoming you on Friday night, see you there!
